Russian Makarov Serial Numbers
Pistol Makarov 9 mm - Classification: Manufacturer Allocation. Marks on the Weapon. Steven Gerrard My Autobiography Ebook. The fastest way to allocate a weapon to the particular manufacturer occurs by using the country-specific marks. Most of them are engraved on pistols produced before 1990. The following listed marks are to find on the left side of the frame.
Part of the Makarov pistol page. Please see makarov.com. May 21, 2011. Re: Makarov info? I pulled the grip off and let it go with a crappy shape red russian grip. Of which I have s nice spare. WTB: Egyptian barrel, any barrel stub(chamber part. Autotune 7 Mac Crack more. longer is better), tokarev/makarov stuff, 1986 dated kits or 0423 serial numbers. Chevy Small Block Intake Casting Numbers.
I have 2 russian maks and one is goig to be sold in about an hour. I want to keep one for my collection for now. One is a CAI PM/IJ70-18A with Made in Russia by IMEZ the other is a KBI import that has IJ-70 KBI is all blued with black baikal grips CAI has lots of markings on the slide and matte frame.
Also has the 3 proofs on rear of frame under safety. CAI has AKB 36XX serial KBI has A AH 58XX on frame and slide and J0373XX on the frame While Ive had the CAI longer, it seems like they are more common. I'd like to keep the more valuable of the 2 / the harder to find one. Edited: let the CAI go. I assume its easier to find them since i didnt see many of the plain ij70s listed. Still interested in any info on the russian varients.
Makarov.com didnt have much about it. So which is easiest to replace? Which is more valuable?
Both are in similar condition. No box for ether. Just selling one gun with one mag (need some $s).

No box for ether. Just selling one gun with one mag (need some $s) Non 'hi-cap' Commercial Russian Maks with the crappy rear sight all have about the same value regardless of the importer. On Gunbroker they go for much, much less than russian military units. My suggestion in your case would be to sell both and pick up a bulgarian military PM which has roughly the same value. Wideners has them in great condition. Good luck in any case! I just didnt know much about the one's marked 'IJ-70' without all the other crap.
I love maks and toks so Id like to have one of each type at some point. I have a bulgarian already (before the massive importation began I think its a 1979. I also have a IJ70-17AS stainless 380. Been waiting for a military mak, or miltex, or something to come along. I got lucky on toks since I ended up with a hungarian bringback and a post war russian bring back. A little lucky with the double stack chinese 9mm since i got it dirt cheap.
Still watching for th elusive north korean. Just figured some fellers on here may know more about these and I can get some more knowledge on the subject. I appreciate the reply though. Not sure which one would be better to keep, but there was one that had a grip like the hi-cap Maks, but it was a single stack. If either are like that it may be the one to keep. Mndale: I never did like the feel of the original russian hi-cap grip, I ended up replacing mine with the pierce rubber grip ultimately.
